The Shamier train keeps rolling
27th March 2021 – Fresh off an indoor season that saw her set three new personal bests, Shamier Little (USA) started her outdoor season in the same vein.
Racing over 400m at the Texas Relays event in Austin, Shamier won by over 1.5 seconds, setting a significant PB of 50.19 seconds which also currently stands as the 2021 world lead. Jenna Prandini (USA) ran the 200m at the same meet and clocked 22.43 seconds for second place. Having made several outings over 60m indoors, Trayvon Bromell (USA) stepped all the way up to the 200m at The Florida International in Miramar also taking second place in a time of 20.29 seconds.
Away from the track, Christine Ohuruogu (GBR) was once again able to show her ability to perform when it matters as she defeated four of the finest quiz brains in the popular television series Beat The Chasers. By outlasting the chasers Christine won £30,000 for her chosen charity Body & Soul.
