Vincent oh so close
13th June 2019 – There was three podium place finishes for PACE athletes at the IAAF Diamond League in Oslo, held in the famous Bislett Stadium.
Leading the way was Vincent Kibet (KEN) who came so close to taking victory the Dream Mile. Having sat a little off the pace for the first couple of laps Vincent moved up at the bell and then hit the front with 200m to run. He continued to hold the lead for the next 199m until Marcin Lewandowski just pipped him on the line. Marcin running 3:52.34 to Vincent’s 3:52.38. Bethwel Birgen (KEN) finished tenth in 3:54.92.
American duo Shamier Little (USA) and Jenna Prandini (USA) both took hard earned third places. Shamier ran 54.92 seconds in the 400m hurdles, and Jenna 21.10 seconds in the 200m.
