Fred Kerley win Paris DL 200m in 19.79PB

28^th August 2021 – Olympic 100m Champion Fred Kerley improved his 200m PB to 19.79 (+1.6) to win the Paris Diamond League meeting in Stade Charlety.

In a neck and neck home straight battle the 26 year old Texan got the better of Olympic 200m silver medalist Kenny Bednarek who posted the same time. Fred’s time puts him 4^th fastest on the 2021 world list. He is now the 15^th fastest 100m runner ever, 25^th fastest 200m runner ever and 8^th fastest 400m runner ever.

Dina Asher-Smith secured her qualification for the Diamond League Final with a 3^rd place finish in the 100m in 11.06 secs.

The fast pace of Diamond League meetings continues with the next round taking place in Brussels on Friday.
