Fred Kerley win Paris DL 200m in 19.79PB
28th August 2021 – Olympic 100m Champion Fred Kerley improved his 200m PB to 19.79 (+1.6) to win the Paris Diamond League meeting in Stade Charlety.
In a neck and neck home straight battle the 26 year old Texan got the better of Olympic 200m silver medalist Kenny Bednarek who posted the same time. Fred’s time puts him 4th fastest on the 2021 world list. He is now the 15th fastest 100m runner ever, 25th fastest 200m runner ever and 8th fastest 400m runner ever.
Dina Asher-Smith secured her qualification for the Diamond League Final with a 3rd place finish in the 100m in 11.06 secs.
The fast pace of Diamond League meetings continues with the next round taking place in Brussels on Friday.
