2nd May 2021 – The 2021 world leading time in the men’s 100m remained in the hands of a PACE athlete but it did change from Fred Kerley (USA) to Trayvon Bromell (USA) over the weekend.

Running at the North Florida Invitational in Jacksonville, Trayvon cruised into the final as he won his heat in 10.17 seconds.  There, despite running against a high-quality field that included Olympic and World silver medallist Andre de Grasse and European record holder Jimmy Vicaut, Trayvon was basically racing the clock as he was a clear victor in 9.88 seconds. This represented his fourth fastest time ever, and his quickest since 2016.

Jenna Prandini (USA) also enjoyed a successful weekend.  Running at the Texas Invitational in Austin, Jenna won the 200m on day 1 in 22.22 seconds and then returned the following day to win the 100m in seasons best of 11.16 seconds.
