World Indoor Record for Usain Bolt
23rd August 2014 – The world’s fastest man Usain Bolt took down another record on Saturday evening.
The world indoor 100m record had stood for 18 years and was held by Frankie Federicks at 10.05 seconds.
However, running on a newly laid track that was set down the side of the infield at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Usain was up for the challenge and took the record inside 10 seconds for the first time. Supported by 20,000 fans and running into a slight breeze of -0.6mph Usain set new figures of 9.98 seconds.
