Hurdles cleared for Jaheel and Ristananna
24th June 2017 – The Jamaican duo of Jaheel Hyde (JAM) and Ristananna Tracey (JAM) both booked their tickets to the London World Championships with qualification performances at the Jamaican National Championships.
Jaheel was made to work all the way to the line in his 400m hurdles final but showed good strength over the last few meters to win in 48.53 seconds. Ristananna also finished strongly to take second place in the women’s 400m hurdles final in 54.49 seconds.
Schillonie Calvert-Powell (JAM) navigated her way through the heats and semi-finals of the women’s 100m before placing eighth in the final.
Sadly Kemar Bailey-Cole pulled up injured in his 100m heat and we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
