Linet Masai wins Madrid 10k
Former World 10,000m Champion Linet Masai (KEN) returned to excellent form with a convincing win in Madrid’s San Silvestre Vallecana. The 24 year old clocked 31:33 to finish ahead of Malika Asahssah and Boston marathon winner Rita Jeptoo with Linet’s sister Magdalyne 4th in 32:36.
Thomas Ayeko (UGA) placed 2nd in a close finish in the Trier Silvestrelauf in Germany while a few days earlier Micah Kogo (KEN) and Emmanuel Bett (KEN) placed 2nd and 3rd in Corrida de Houilles 10k in France.
