PACE Obiri opens up strongly

Hellen Obiri (KEN) made a very encouraging start to her 2013 outdoor season in cold and wet conditions at the IAAF Diamond League in New York. After a slow tactical race Obiri showed good pace over the final 400m as she finished second behind current world leader Abeba Aregawi (SWE).

PACE Perri is Great at the City Games

Perri Shakes-Drayton (GBR) took the scalp of reigning Olympic Champion Natalya Antyukh (RUS) as she stormed to a National Record over 200m hurdles on the streets of Manchester. Indeed, competing in the Great City Games Shakes-Drayton was only four 1/100ths of a second off the world best time.
